Salted Caramel Coffee Syrup

Caramel with a salty edge for lattes, iced coffee and shakes.

Salt sharpens caramel and keeps it from tasting flat or too sweet. In iced coffee and cold milk drinks it reads richer than plain caramel.

  2. Drizzle 15 ml salted caramel syrup over the ice cream.
  3. Pull a double espresso, 36 ml, into a small jug.

Bartender's noteThe espresso is served on the side because poured in the kitchen it melts the ice cream before it reaches the table.
